Privacy Policy — Hide and Smash

This is the dedicated Privacy Policy for the Hide and Smash Chrome extension published by Machita 66, available at machita66.com/game/hideandsmash.html. This exact page must be entered in the Privacy Policy URL field for this item on the Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard.

1. Single Purpose

The Hide and Smash extension has a single purpose: to let users launch and play the game Hide and Smash directly from the browser toolbar or new-tab page, without ads, redirects, or installation of any other software.

2. Information We Collect

The Hide and Smash extension does not collect any personal information. It does not require an account, sign-in, name, email address, or any other identifying data to be used.

Our server may record basic, non-identifying log information (such as browser type or access time) when the game is loaded, solely to maintain performance and prevent abuse.

3. Chrome Extension Data Disclosure

In accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its "Prominent Disclosure" requirement, we disclose the following for the Hide and Smash extension.

3.1 What Data We Collect

The Hide and Smash extension does not read, record, or transmit any of the following:

  • Personally identifiable information (name, address, email, age, ID numbers).
  • Health information.
  • Financial and payment information.
  • Authentication information (passwords, credentials, security questions, PINs).
  • Personal communications (emails, texts, chat messages).
  • Location data (GPS, IP-derived, or other location data).
  • Web browsing history.
  • User activity (clicks, mouse position, scroll behavior, keystroke logging).
  • Website content the user has not deliberately chosen to share (text, images, audio, video).

Any browser permission requested by the Hide and Smash extension (for example, opening a new tab to display the game) is used strictly and only to deliver this single, advertised functionality. No data is read, stored, or transmitted beyond what is required to render the game on the user's own device.

3.2 How We Use, Process and Share Data

  • Use: Any technical, non-personal information handled locally (such as a saved volume or window setting) is used only to run the game and stays on the user's device.
  • Processing: We do not process user data on remote servers beyond loading the game itself. No analytics SDK, tracking pixel, or third-party advertising library is bundled inside the extension.
  • Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer any user data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers, for any purpose.
  • Limited Use compliance: We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single, stated purpose, and we do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

3.3 Prominent Disclosure & Consent

Because the Hide and Smash extension does not collect any data unrelated to its core, advertised functionality, no separate consent prompt is required to operate it. If a future update ever introduces a feature that collects data not strictly necessary for that core functionality, we commit to:

  • Adding an in-extension notice, shown before any such collection begins, that clearly and plainly explains what data would be collected and why;
  • Requiring an affirmative, opt-in action from the user (a click on "I agree" or an equivalent control) before that collection starts;
  • Updating this Privacy Policy in advance to describe the new collection, use, processing, and sharing of that data; and
  • Providing a clear way for the user to decline or later withdraw consent, after which the feature will not collect that data.

3.4 User Controls

Users can uninstall the Hide and Smash extension at any time from chrome://extensions, which immediately removes any locally stored preferences. Since no data is transmitted to or stored on our servers, uninstalling the extension is sufficient to delete all extension-related data.

4. For Parents and Schools

Hide and Smash is screened for appropriate content and designed to be school-friendly. If you have privacy concerns or content questions, please contact us for review.
