Project Sand IO doesn't ask you to win anything — four streams of colored sand fall continuously from the top of the screen, and your only job is deciding where they're allowed to go. Every dividing line drawn changes the physics of the scene in a small way, splitting one stream into two, redirecting a color into a new channel, or letting two colors blend together at a boundary you've created. Because the sand keeps flowing in real time, a painting here is never really finished; it's more like tending a tiny, colorful ecosystem that keeps evolving as long as you keep adjusting it.
Use the left mouse button to draw dividing lines in the center of the screen, separating the four falling sand streams and directing each color into its own channel. Adjust your strokes gradually, since even small changes to a barrier's position can noticeably shift how the colors settle further down the scene.
Click and drag with the left mouse button to place lines and create barriers. The game is designed for easy click-and-draw interaction, so anyone can start crafting sand paintings instantly.
