Light the Lamp

Tracing a Beam of Light Through a Maze of Mirrors

The goal in Light the Lamp never changes from level to level — every lamp on the board needs light reaching it before you can move on — but the paths you have to build to get there grow more tangled with each stage. A single light source starts a beam traveling in one direction, and it's up to you to rotate mirrors, flip switches, and reposition reflective panels until that beam bends, splits, and threads its way to every lamp waiting in the level's corners. Because the whole puzzle is visible at once, solving it is less about trial and error and more about tracing the beam's path in your head before touching a single piece.

Rotating Mirrors and Tracing the Beam

Click on a mirror or switch to rotate it, redirecting the beam of light passing through that tile in a new direction. Watch how each rotation affects the beam's entire downstream path, since a single change near the light source can shift where the beam ends up several tiles later.

  • Trace the beam's current path fully before rotating anything, so you understand what a change will actually affect.
  • Work outward from the light source rather than adjusting mirrors near unlit lamps first.
  • Look for tiles that could split or redirect the beam toward multiple lamps at once.
  • Undo a rotation immediately if it disconnects a previously lit lamp, rather than compounding the mistake.
  • Take a moment to plan the full route mentally before making several rotations in a row.
