James Gun wastes no time easing you in — the action starts mid-fall, guns already firing, as you drop past enemies stationed on the way down and try to land somewhere that isn't instantly fatal. That opening sets the tone for everything after: this is a side-scrolling shooter built for momentum, not careful cover-based tactics. Once you're on solid ground, waves of enemies keep the same breakneck pace going, forcing you to juggle different weapons, dodge incoming fire, and eventually face down bosses who demand you've actually learned their patterns rather than just spraying bullets in their direction.
Move with the arrow keys or WASD, aim with the mouse, and click to fire at enemies as they appear from either side of the screen. Cycle between available weapons using the number keys or scroll wheel when a situation calls for something with more range or stopping power, and jump or dash to dodge incoming fire that can't be outrun by walking alone.
If you like fast, weapon-switching action, the wave-based chaos of Funny Shooter 2 and the physics-driven gun battles of Gun Mayhem deliver similarly frantic shooting. Discover more action titles on our all games page.
