Hide from School

A Locked Campus Turned Into a Stealth Puzzle

Hide from School reframes the after-hours empty school as a labyrinth of patrol routes, camera cones, and locked doors that only open in sequence once you've found the right keys. Instead of pure hiding, the game leans into pathing: you study which hallways a patrolling teacher walks and when, note where a camera's field of view actually reaches, and plan a loop that lets you slip through a gap in coverage rather than sprinting and hoping. Distractions become tools for splitting a guard away from a chokepoint you need to cross, and both light and noise function as limited resources — crouching keeps you quiet at the cost of speed, while a quick peek around a corner buys information but risks exposure if timed badly.

Controls: Crouch, Peek, Commit

Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, holding a crouch key to reduce noise while moving slowly past patrol paths. Tap a peek key near corners or doorways to check for teachers or cameras without fully committing your character into view. Press the interact key to pick up keys, open doors, or trigger distractions like knocking something over in a distant room.

  • Watch a patrol route through at least one full cycle before attempting to cross its path.
  • Save distractions for chokepoints you genuinely can't avoid rather than using them the moment one becomes available.
  • Crouch through camera-covered stretches even when it feels slow — getting spotted costs far more time than moving carefully.
  • Plan your exit route before committing to open ground, since backtracking mid-crossing is often worse than waiting.
  • Treat a failed attempt as new intel on a guard's timing rather than pure bad luck.

If sneaking past watchful eyes is your kind of tension, the disguise-and-evade rounds of Hide and Smash offer a similar thrill with a multiplayer twist. Discover more stealth and puzzle games on our all games page.
