Crossy Road drops a blocky character into an endless procedurally generated world made of roads, rivers, and railway tracks, and asks a simple question: how far can you go? Each lane moves at its own speed and rhythm — cars barrel through at set intervals, logs drift across rivers you must ride to avoid drowning, and trains thunder through with almost no warning. Progress is entirely about reading each lane's pattern before committing to a hop, since one mistimed step usually ends the run instantly.
Use the arrow keys or WASD to hop forward, backward, left, or right one lane at a time, or tap/swipe in the corresponding direction on touch devices. There's no sprint or diagonal move — every hop is a single deliberate step, so timing when you commit to crossing a dangerous lane matters more than reaction speed alone.
If Crossy Road's endless dodge-and-hop gameplay appeals to you, try the sprint-and-swerve action of Temple Run 2 or the fast-paced obstacle running of Run 3. Discover more endless arcade games on our all games page.
