A Cozy Loop of Gathering and Growing
Cow Bay is a relaxed farming-and-crafting game set on a small island with no time pressure or fail states. You gather wood and berries, craft basic tools, and use them to build structures that slowly expand your homestead. Quests from island characters guide your progress, rewarding you with new recipes and equipment as your little settlement grows from a bare patch of land into a functioning farm.
Controls: Move, Gather, Build
Use the WASD or arrow keys to walk around the island, and click or press the interact key near trees, bushes, and resource nodes to gather materials. Open your inventory and crafting menu to turn raw resources into tools and buildings, then place structures directly onto your homestead plot to expand it.
- Gather a small stockpile of wood and berries before starting your first build — running out mid-construction wastes trips.
- Check active quests often, since they usually point you toward the most useful next upgrade.
- Upgrade your gathering tools early to speed up every future resource run.
- Expand your homestead layout deliberately, leaving room for buildings you'll unlock later.
- Take your time — Cow Bay has no timer or threat, so there's no benefit to rushing quests.
